The "groundwork" for our partnership with Institut Universitaire de Technologie de Rennes (IUT) has started. Representatives from the IUT visited EMCC last month. Students from the Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing program a the IUT will team up with Computer Integrated Machining students of EMCC for work on a jointly manufactured "project".
We are working on a student exchange between the two colleges in the spring of '10.
This blog will post the activities.

Router Pictures
Here are some pictures of our "Router Project". Pictured is the router, as received. Donated to us from a business. No Computer, software, breakout boards, or driver boards. A company, to be named later, has donated new 500watt steppers to replace the steppers currently on the machine. Quadruple threaded screws will be replaced with ballscrews, also donated. Donated items have yet to be received. Pictures will be added as parts are received and retrofitting continues.

EMCC Machinist -- What's it all about?
Welcome!

We'll post pictures, report on activities, and include things about the Program that will not be found on the College website.
